Mind over Markets is an introspective course that builds interpersonal skills while boosting sales confidence and developing a personal marketing strategy (aka your personal brand).
The 8-step system was designed in 2020 by Shivani Peterson while she earns her Masters in Psychology.
The beginning units are exploratory to help salespeople discover their unique value proposition as well as their ideal client. Then we move into multiplying that ideal client by building community and owning authority.
SHIVANI'S STORY
I have been a mortgage lender for 11 years and worked through several market cycles. I struggled with relying on referral partners for my business. I also became increasingly concerned with the competition advancing technology poses to me, as a highly commoditized salesperson. In essence, I wanted to explore how to grow a business through connection rather than sleazy, aggressive sales tactics. I began building out the Mind over Markets system in 2020 while starting my master’s program in psychology. This education, coupled with my experience in sales, led to the full 8-part system. I’ve used these eight components to become a national top producer. This system has taken my business from $75k annually to seven figures but more importantly, it has made my job exponentially more enjoyable and opened so many doors to other opportunities.

The first four components you'll explore in Mind over Markets are what I was doing in my business from 2017 to 2020 - without realizing how psychological it all was. Then it clicked. So in 2020, while closing 10 million a month in volume with two kids out of school during the pandemic...I started a Master's program in psychology. I wanted to understand how people are influenced. I knew that people fight about money in my office, but I wanted to understand why people interact with money the way they do. How does trauma show up later and how can we identify it? How can we hear what people aren't saying? What types of connection will motivate someone to change or take action? I started pouring into the research of how to unlock trust and build rapport. Then the second half of the system came together.
