Dec 29, 2023We all know someone who didn’t renew their license because this year was so challenging. I’m not throwing any shade in their direction either. Working in sales, especially in an industry as reactive as real estate is not for everyone. The fact is that many of the part-timers, as well as the folks with the worst commission breath who were in this biz to make a quick buck…have left. That is good news for those of us who were committed to showing up for our sphere, even when there wasn’t the best news to share. We kept providing value, even when it didn’t equate to a paycheck.
Now is the time to lean in, even more. You have earned the credibility to tell them good news without coming across as salesy, because you didn’t disappear in 2023. So start letting your friends, family, previous and potential clients know about the opportunities this new year will present. Some ideas to get in front of them – start, revive or refresh your weekly newsletter. Pop into your social media. Or, what I did all last week before Christmas…call them. It sounds daunting but it was actually so energizing to talk to my clients and see how they’re doing in the new house and share my knowledge with them. I bet you’ll have a similar experience.
